Turkish rugs are handcrafted pieces of tradition and artistry — they deserve expert care, not general cleaning methods. At Devine Rug Care, we use specialised techniques designed specifically for delicate handwoven rugs to help restore their color, texture, and elegance.

How We Work?
1. Detailed Rug Evaluation
Every Turkish rug is first carefully assessed to understand its weave type, fibre sensitivity, dye stability, and any existing damage. This helps us decide the safest and most effective cleaning approach for your specific rug.
2. Deep Embedded Dirt Removal
Before any washing begins, we remove deeply trapped dust, grit, and hidden debris that settle inside Turkish rug fibres over time. This prevents abrasion and prepares the rug for a safe deep clean.
3. Gentle Fibre-Safe Washing
Your rug is then carefully washed using controlled, low-impact methods designed for handwoven Turkish textures. This process lifts stains, odours, and built-up residue while protecting natural dyes and softness.
4. Controlled Drying & Final Grooming
After cleaning, the rug is carefully moisture-extracted and placed in a regulated drying environment. Once dry, it is hand-finished, brushed, and checked to ensure it looks clean, fresh, and restored.

The team pride themselves in their colouring process for rugs that have dye run. When some rugs get over wet or are water damaged, the colours can become unstable and run into each other (colour run) ie red or dark blue can run into the white or cream patterns in the rug. Devine Rug care use a specially made stripping agent which will remove the colour run and return the white pattern back to its original state.
